ICRS Fellow

Description: The status of ICRS Fellow is awarded in recognition of scientific, conservation, or management achievement and service to ICRS over a significant period of time.

Level of experience needed:  N/A

ICRS Membership requirement: Current ICRS member for a minimum of 4 years of the past 5 years

ICRS Service requirement: Nominees should have contributed in a service capacity to the Society beyond that of consistent membership. Service examples may include: past/present ICRS Officer or Council Member; editorial board member of Coral Reefs; and/or session leadership at a past/ upcoming ICRS Symposium.

Frequency of award: Annual

Number of awards: Variable. A maximum of 10 members per year can be approved for Fellowship status, subject to the extant number of Fellows not exceeding 15% of the total number of Society members.

Recognition: Fellowship status for life (contingent on maintaining active ICRS membership status)

Due date for applications: 15th February

Nomination process:  Automatic status as ICRS Fellow is given to the ICRS President and recipients of the Darwin Medal, Eminence in Research, Mid-Career, Early-Career, Coral Reef Conservation, and World Reef Awards.
