We are very pleased to announce the launch of the ICRS Plan of Action and Pledge for Coral Reefs! The Society is dedicated to promoting the acquisition and dissemination of scientific knowledge to secure coral reefs for future generations and we are committed to acting on that knowledge with the development of a Plan of Action.
The Society’s plan outlines five strategies for action:
- Proactively promote science-based decision making and coral reef protection
- Reduce its carbon footprint
- Formalize partnerships with other science-based coral reef societies and organizations to coordinate action and amplify our collective voice
- Encourage ICRS members and supporters to take the Pledge for Coral Reefs (#pledge4reefs)
- Support science communication fellowships
