The International Coral Reef Society remembers two of our most dedicated members, Dr. Ian MacIntyre, and Dr. John (“Jack”) Randall. Both were recipients of our Society’s highest honor: the Darwin Medal
As past ICRS President, Dr. MacIntyre exemplified a deep commitment to service and scholarship. A reflection on his life’s work and contributions to our understanding of coral reefs will appear in the next issue of Reef Encounters.
Dr. Randall was a pioneer in marine ichthyology, and contributed enormously to our knowledge of coral reef fish.
